When an attack hits, executives must act quickly. Data shows that in the case of a ransomware breach, many businesses are coming into cold, navigating uncharted waters with untested tools and playbooks. This session will describe the importance of being prepared for an attack through sharing the experience of a ransomware outbreak - from initial breach to recovery.

Darren Jones is Executive Vice-President, Cybersecurity and Risk Advisory Services at Valencia, based in Ottawa. His focus is to assist clients with Cyber Risk transformation strategies and solutions. In this capacity he helps clients in navigating the complexities of deploying “cyber-charged” solutions for security that allow clients to deliver solutions at the speed of business. He is also a participant on the Cyber Program Advisory Committee for Willis College in Ottawa.
